We offer 7 programs that are in compliance with WV Bureau of Senior Services and WV Department of Health and Human Resources.

• Lighthouse Program

Provides support in four areas: Personal Care- Grooming, bathing, dressing, and toileting.  Mobility- Transferring in/out of bed and walking. Nutrition- Meal preparation, eating, and grocery/pharmacy shopping. Environment- Light housecleaning (based on RN Assessment) Making/Changing bed and laundry.

There are 3 Criteria:

-60+years of age and a resident of WV.

-Medically eligible based on a functional evaluation by the senior agency RN.

-Financially eligible, determined by a State Cost Share schedule.

• F.A.I.R

Family Alzheimer's In-Home Respite Program: Provides care and activities for individuals with Alzheimer's or a related dementia and gives caregivers a needed break.

There are 3 eligibility requirements:

-The person receiving care must have a diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia.

-There has to be an unpaid caregiver

-The care must be provided in West Virginia.

Up to 60 hours a month.  

 

• Medicaid

If you qualify for Medicaid from the Department of Health and Human Resource Service (DHHR) and you have a valid Medicaid card, you can receive up to 60 hours a month for free.  To qualify for our Medicaid program you must need to have two-thirds of the time spent in the home for personal care.  This means you must need help bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, assisting with medicine or transferring to be on this program.  This program is not a housekeeping service.  After the personal care is complete we can do the environmental services like cleaning and shopping.  You need to make an appointment with DHHR to see if you qualify, there are special guidelines.  Determination is made by household income.

• Medicaid Waiver

There is a process to qualifying

 

To qualify for this program you must first be referred to the West Virginia Medical Institute (WVMI).  You must qualify medically and financially for Medicaid waiver. WVMI will contact you and make an appointment for a visit.  A nurse will determine if you have 5 deficits to be on the program. Some of the deficits are as follows: Eating, bathing, dressing, grooming, incontinence, orientation, transferring, walking, decubitus, able to vacate a building, wheeling, not capable of administering his/her own medications

Each one of these deficits has different point levels which will be added up and this will total your level of care  

 

Level A=5-9 points               UP TO 62 hours per month

Level B=10-17 points            UP TO 93 hours per month

Level C=18-25 points            UP TO 124 hours per month

Level D= 26-44 points           UP TO 155 hours per month

Then you will pick a Case Management Agency.  They will send you to DHHR to qualify financially.  If you are already Medicaid eligible, a form must be made at the DHHR office.  To qualify financially you must make less than $1,800 a month and have no more than $2,000 in assets.  Only the income of the applicant is considered, not the income of the spouse, parents or family.

• Veterans Program

Paid for by the Veteran’s program out of Pittsburgh.

 

To qualify for this program you have to be actively seeing a doctor from either of the two Veteran’s hospitals (St. Clairsville or Pittsburgh).  Then you have to have an assessment from the VA Health Care Systems in Pittsburgh.  They will assign you to an agency of their choice if you do not request one.

• Title III-E

National Family Caregiver Support Program

This program is to provide respite to the caregiver in the home.

• Private Pay

$20.00 an hour

 

If light housekeeping is all you want this service is for you.  You can pick how many hours and how many days a week you want.  We can dust, mop, sweep and change bed linens. We do not wipe down walls, windows, cupboards or curtains/blinds.
